Kanatahkwèn:ke Living Fund

Kanatahkwèn:ke represents a significant commitment to Indigenous language revitalization and cultural continuity. It is also a transformative investment in strengthening connections between Kahnawà:ke and surrounding communities.

The Kanatahkwèn:ke Living Fund contributes directly to the sustainability of the centre’s operations, programming, and long-term impact.

Three community-led organizations from Kahnawà:ke will operate within the centre: the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center (KORLCC), Turtle Island Theatre, and Kahnawà:ke Tourism. Each organization will oversee its respective programming area, with a focus on language and culture, the arts, and tourism, creating a collaborative and community-driven hub dedicated to cultural preservation, creative expression, and visitor engagement.

Donations will be directed to the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center, the only registered charitable organization among the project partners.

Donations will be distributed among the three partners by consensus based on priorities and needs. However, donors may also choose to direct their contribution to a specific organization according to their preference.

Charitable Business Number: 890279060 RR 0001.
